5. Coffee and Book Discussion at Plymouth District Library

Are you an avid reader and want to share your thoughts? Brown Bag Books will meet at noon at the Plymouth District Library.

The book discussion group meets monthly. Coffee is provided by the library, and attendees are welcome to bring a lunch. See the check-out desk for a copy of the current title. 

4. Catch Christmas films this week at Penn Theatre

The Penn Theatre in downtown Plymouth rounds out its holiday classic film series this week with a Thursday screening of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (at 7 p.m.) and screening of The Polar Express on the following days and times:

  • Friday, Dec. 21 at 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, Dec. 22 at 5 and 7 p.m.
  • Sunday, Dec. 23 at 5 and 7 p.m.

All seats are $3 (cash only). 

3. W.O.W. - Wellness on Wednesdays

This month's program is 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Canton Senior Center. Wellness on Wednesday's is offered one Wednesday of each month. Enjoy a variety of fitness and social activities. Fees are $1 for members, $3 for residents and $5 for nonresidents. 

2. Vote in our national Deck the House contest

We will choose 24 finalists from all our entries across the country. From Dec. 18- Dec. 27, vote for your favorite and that person could win $100,000 for his or her local school district, meaning if our local winner wins the national contest, Plymouth-Canton Community Schools will receive $100,000.

All you have to do is visit this page to browse a gallery of the finalists and cast your vote beginning Dec. 18. On Dec. 28, we’ll announce the grand prize winner of our Deck the House contest.

1. Senator Patrick Colbeck Office Hours

Senator Patrick Colbeck will have his regularly scheduled district office hours 6 to 7 p.m. at the Plymouth District Library.
