5. Bumpers, Bikes and Bands is this weekend

Looking for some relaxed fun admidst the Concours d'Elegance festivities this weekend? Bumpers, Bikes and Bands arrives 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday in Plymouth's historic Old Village. The event is free and open to the public and features classic cars, bikes and live music. 

4. Ann Arbor Trail overpass over I-275 reopens

Tired of taking detours while traversing Ann Arbor Trail? The good news is the Ann Arbor Trail overpass over Interstate 275 reopened late Tuesday.

The bad news? Ann Arbor Road's overpass over I-275 still remains on deck for improvements, meaning major detours in Plymouth Township in the near future. Read an overview of the I-275 bridge and overpass project here.

Additionally, Haggerty Road at the railroad crossing in Canton by Joy Road will be closed for repairs from July 30-Aug. 3.

3. 'The Rookie' screens at Penn Theatre in Plymouth on Thursday

The Dennis Quaid baseball drama The Rookie screens Thursday at the Penn Theatre with showings at 1 and 7 p.m. The film, rated is G and is based on the true story of a high school baseball coach who earns a Major League Baseball spot after a wager with his players leads to a big-league tryout. The film runs 127 minutes and all seats are $3.

2. Gemini performs at Music in the Park today in Plymouth's Kellogg Park

Gemini will perform at noon today at Kellogg Park in downtown Plymouth. The free children's concert runs about an hour and is part of the weekly Music in the Park concert series. Not sure what to expect? View photos of Gemini's 2011 performance here on Patch.

1. Concours d'Elegance is this weekend

Concours d'Elegance kicks into gear this weekend at the Inn at St. John's. The upscale car exhibit is 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, and admission is $25. Check out a sneak preview and a list of Concours-related events.
