5. Public forum tonight for Plymouth-Canton superintendent search
All Plymouth-Canton Community Schools residents are invited to take part in a public forum to help the district hire its next superintendent. The forum will be held at Canton Public Library tonight from 6:30-8 p.m.
4. Check out 'Metropolis' gallery at Liberty Street Brewing Company
The upstairs "gallery" at Liberty Street Brewing Company, 149 Liberty St. in Plymouth's Old Village, is hosting a photographic exhibit of Mariuca Rofick's work, Metropolis, through November. The artist held a reception Friday at the brewery, but the works remain on display for customers.
3. Volunteer to ring the Salvation Army bell
The Salvation Army Plymouth Corps, serving both Plymouth and Canton, kicked off its Red Kettle Campaign on Friday with the City of Plymouth lighting its boulevard trees. You can volunteer to ring the bell as part of the group's fundraising effort by heading to ringbell.org and finding local opportunities.
2. Small business sales/marketing workshop tonight at Plymouth District Library
The Plymouth District Library joins the local SCORE chapter in presenting “Engagement Marketing: Small Business Sales/Marketing Strategies” at 7 p.m. tonight. Steve Feinman of SCORE will conduct this free workshop, addressing marketing needs of small businesses and will provide practical tools, tips and methods for new business development and client retention.
1. Contribute to Patch and Gleaner's virtual food drive!
Patch.com, through its 30 Michigan sites including Plymouth-Canton, launched an online food drive to raise $10,000 by Nov. 17 to feed area families. This is the first virtual food drive for the Gleaners Community Food Bank, and Patch is proud and honored to be their first partner.
