The bloggers at MTV's Buzzworthy are gushing over the new single from Canton band TwentyForSeven.
"All I Ever Wanted," a new song released by the band, earned high marks on the MTV blog.
"Actually, we're pretty positive this jam's about to become the kind of Friday night getting-ready jam that'll make you smear your eyeliner because you'll be jumping around in front of the mirror as you apply!" blogger Jenna Haley Rubenstein wrote.
The MTV shout-out isn't the Canton quartet's first brush with fame, however. The band, which includes Rajiv Dhall, Matt Pastor, Blake Hayes and Corey DeLuca, were hand-picked this summer for the E! network reality program Opening Act.
In the episode featuring TwentyForSeven, the band members received coaching leading up to a coveted gig opening for chart-topping hip-hop/pop group Gym Class Heroes.
Dhall said in a July interview with Plymouth-Canton Patch that TwentyForSeven began by playing variety shows at high schools while the band members were seniors at Plymouth-Canton Educational Park.
The song "All I Ever Wanted" comes from the band's new Forget the World EP, which Buzzworthy describes as "a sugary-sweet, feel-good pop record that reminds us a little bit of Asher Monroe and Hot Chelle Rae mixed with a dash of One Direction."
You can listen to the song by clicking the play button at the top of this page, and can download the single on iTunes.
The band also has released a video for new Christmas song, "Merry Christmas, Come Home," which we've embedded here.
