Canton, Plymouth, Salem Gymnastics Compete in Team Finals Friday

The competition to win the state title begins at 2 p.m.

 

The Canton High School, Plymouth High School and Salem High School girls gymnastics teams will all compete in the team state finals Friday at Canton High School.

The competition begins at 2 p.m., and you can see all three team's rotation schedules for the beam, vault, floor and bars at the MHSAA website.

According to the MHSAA, P-CEP's high schools took the top three places at the regional competition on March 2, which qualified them for the finals.

Canton placed first in regionals with a score of 145.950, followed by Plymouth in second with a score of 140.775 and Salem in third with a score of 140.325.

The other 10 teams competing for the state title are Grand Ledge, Rockford, Forest Hills, Freeland, Haslett, Livonia Red, Farmington, Brighton, Birmingham, and Highland Milford.

Grand Ledge has won first place the past five years.

Individual gymnastics finals will be held Saturday at Canton High School beginning at noon.
