Canton Police Cite Suspected Heroin User on Drug Paraphernalia Charges
The following information was provided by Canton Township Police. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.
Canton Township Police responded Feb. 28 to MIAT College of Technology, 2955 S. Haggerty, for a report of a person lying facedown on the floor in the bathroom, unresponsive, according to a police report.
The person who phoned police told officers the man was found in a stall with a syringe and needle nearby on the floor, the report indicated.
Police found the man to be breathing but unconscious. When officers opened the stall door, they found a spoon, needle cap, red bag labeled “stay high” with a small amount of white residue and a small piece of cotton located in the middle of the spoon, indications of heroin use, the report indicated.
When the man became conscious, he denied using heroin and was transported to Annapolis Hospital. Police cited the man on charges of possession of narcotic paraphernalia.
