The Canton Township Board of Trustees approved a Class C liquor license with a Sunday sales permit for Ruby Buffet, 5848 North Sheldon Road, at its meeting Tuesday night.
Ruby Buffet, which opened in 2008, is the only restaurant in Canton that serves oriental Chinese food as a buffet.
Ruby Buffet invested $100,000 for new equipment and remodeling that included adding two party rooms, Township Treasurer Melissa McLaughlin said.
The Class C liquor license will allow Ruby Buffet to serve beer, wine and liquor.
