Counterfeit Bills Reportedly Passed at Canton Taco Bell

The following information was provided by the Canton Township Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Canton Township Police responded Nov. 25 to Taco Bell, 45132 Ford Road, for a report of a payment with a counterfeit bill, according to a police report.

The restaurant’s manager told police when she was counting cash drawers, she found three counterfeit $20 bills, the report said, which she told police likely came through the drive-thru, the report said.

The manager told police she couldn’t pinpoint a precise time the bills were passed, but estimated the fake bills were exchanged between 11:15 a.m. and 5 p.m, the report said.
