Creating a Scarecrow can be a Family Activity
A local family decided to join in on the scarecrow fun at Kellogg Park.
After living in downtown Plymouth for seven years, Tony and Andrea Woolf thought that participating in the fall Scarecrows in Kellogg Park would be a fun family activity.
"We love being residents of downtown Plymouth and being a part of the community," Andrea said. "And our kids thought it would be really neat."
The Woolf family got involved in the event through the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce.
Their scarecrow wears a red flannel shirt and jeans. It has a pumpkin head with a floppy hat. Thinking it would be a nice touch, the Woolf family also placed crows on the scarecrow's head and on the straw down by its feet.
"We decided to go with a traditional theme since we don't own a business that would dictate otherwise," said Woolf. "We simply used what we had around our house and a little creativity. We had a lot of fun."
Zackary, 13 and Ava, 4 enjoy seeing their family scarecrow stand with the others along Kellogg Park.
"Tony and I assembled the scarecrow while Ava was with us in the park watching," said Woolf. "We would definitely like to participate next year. It was a lot of fun and the kids really enjoy seeing it when we are downtown."
