Plymouth Township Police were dispatched June 15 to Port for a report of pizza and ice cream taken from a delivery truck, according to a police report.

A Nestle employee told police when he went to his delivery truck at 6:30 a.m. that day, he noticed the padlock was lying on the ground. When he opened the door, he told police, he noticed about 19 cases of DiGiorno and Tombstone-brand frozen pizzas and 50 cases of Haagen Daz ice cream were missing.

The employee told police he does not know who might have taken the food items, and that the theft had to have happened between 6 p.m. on June 14 and 6:30 a.m. the following day.

According to the police report, the lock appeared to have been popped off, as it was missing the U-shaped piece. No damage was reported to the truck.

Man reports laptop stolen from unlocked truck

While on patrol, a Plymouth Township officer was flagged down by a man on East Hill Top Drive who wished to report his laptop computer stolen from his company-owned truck, according to a police report.

The man told police he left his company’s Chevrolet Silverado parked in his driveway shortly after midnight June 15, leaving his laptop on his passenger seat and leaving the vehicle unlocked, the report said.

The man told police when he returned to the truck at 5 a.m., he noticed the laptop computer had been stolen and the computer bag still was in the truck.

The man told police he doesn’t know who could have taken the computer.

Police have no suspects.
