Crowds braved some light rain Friday as the Fall Festival got under way in downtown Plymouth.

Carnival rides on Friday night were sparsely populated as crowds gravitated toward dry areas, but some attendees remained on the lawn of Kellogg Park to watch the Randy Brock Group perform on the downtown stage.

Families and teens populated the streets of downtown between bouts of rain, playing midway games and checking out vendors' booths.

The festival resumes today at 7 a.m. with the annual pancake breakfast at the Gathering Pavilion adjacent to Kellogg Park.

Luckily there were hundreds of people staying dry and having fun playing Bingo in the Gathering all night Friday helping to raise funds for the Plymouth Canton Music Boosters and their nationally ranked Marching Band.
