2. Historical 'Garage Sale'
Plymouth Historical Museum is hosting a nostalgia sale at 345 Sunset St., Plymouth. (Note: This sale is not at the museum.) The sale is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and continues through Saturday. The items and artifacts are not needed at the museum, according to the museum's announcement. Proceeds benefit the museum. For details, call 734-455-8940.
Canton Police Officer Dale Waltz, of the township's Response to Hate Crime Coalition, will speak about cultural awareness and sensitivity from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Canton Public Library, 1200 S. Canton Center Rd. This event, in the library's community room, is free and open to the public.

5. Plan Ahead: Hazardous Waste Day
Canton’s annual Hazardous Household Waste Day is set for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the township's Public Works Building, 4847 Sheldon Rd. The is a free service, but it is open only to township residents. A list of what will and won't be accepted is online.
