Last year, the Canton Chiefs rebounded from a tight regular-season loss to the Plymouth Wildcats to defeat their cross-campus rivals in the first round of the state football playoffs.
History wouldn't repeat itself Friday for the Chiefs, however. The Chiefs fell to the Wildcats on Friday, 40-28. Earlier in the season, the Chiefs dropped a 28-21 decision against the Wildcats (7-2).
