Headfirst Printing Expands at New Plymouth Location
Plymouth-based print shop now offers custom phone, tablet cases in addition to printed apparel.
Judging by the size of the business' new facility, Patrick Kelleher has big plans for Headfirst Printing, his custom printing company.
Previously located in Plymouth's Old Village, Headfirst Printing relocated this year to a sprawling industrial park space at 14680 Jib Street in Plymouth Township. While it's still growing into its new space, it already has tapped into new printing methods that allow a larger array of custom-printed promotional merchandise.
One of the new additions is smartphone and tablet cases, both for wholesale buyers and custom individual prints through TheGreatCase.com, a new division of Headfirst Printing that allows customers to upload their own art and order custom-made protective cases for many of today's most popular phone and tablet models, including the iPhone, iPad and Samsung Galaxy product lines.
Kelleher said his shop is the only U.S.-based company currently offering full-color custom prints that wrap around the edges of the cases, rather than solely printing on the flat backs of the cases.
Kelleher said his shop also has started offering custom-printed microfiber cleaning cloths for device screens or eyeglasses and printed socks, which he said have been popular with cheerleading squads and roller derby teams.
While he has branched out to other printed goods, T-shirts still remain an integral part of Kelleher's business, and many of the T-shirts in his showroom feature his former business neighbors from Old Village, as well as Plymouth-Canton sports teams and local organizations.
"We do work for businesses, nonprofits, schools, fundraising events, anything where you might have a custom-printed T-shirt, a banner or any promotional item you can use to promote your event," he said.
