In Photos: Fiddlers in the Park

The Saline Fiddlers came to Plymouth's Kellogg Park to perform for the children's concert series.

Parents brought their children to Kellogg Park on Wednesday to hear a barrage of fiddles played by the Saline Fiddlers.

The Saline Fiddlers are a group of Saline High School student musicians who have toured internationally and perform about 80 shows per year.

The group played as part of the Music in the Park children's concert series organized by the Plymouth Community Art Council. The concerts occur each Wednesday in Kellogg Park starting at Noon.

Meghan Sokolowski of Livonia has brought her two daughters to Kellogg Park each Wednesday for the concerts this year.

"This one wakes up in the morning asking for Music in the Park," Sokolowski said of her daughter Julia.

As with most weeks, the park was covered with picnic blankets and lawn chairs for the Wednesday's show.

Plymouth resident Richard Kaczmarek set down his blanket early on Wednesday with his 3-year-old grandson to watch the concert.

He said, "If you want a spot in the shade, you got to get here a little early."

Next week's performance is by Gemeni, a children's music acoustic band.
