Laptop Reported Stolen from Vehicle in Plymouth Township
The following information was provided by the Plymouth Township Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.
Plymouth Township Police responded Aug. 22 to the 8000 block of Gregory Lane for a report of theft from a vehicle, according to a police report.
The vehicle owner told police she had placed her black Compaq laptop computer and iPad in the rear of her 2011 Ford Flex that was parked in the driveway of her home on Gregory Lane, the report said. She told police when she left for work the following morning, she noticed her glove box appeared to have been broken into and her laptop computer was missing. The woman’s iPad, however, was left untouched, she told police.
Police were unable to spot signs of forced entry into the vehicle.
Tools reported missing from van in Plymouth Township
Plymouth Township Police were dispatched Aug. 18 to the 13000 block of Eckles Road for a report of damage to a vehicle, according to a police report.
The vehicle owner told police that sometime during the past week, someone had punched in the passenger side door lock on his white 1992 Ford van and stole all of his power tools before apparently trying to steal the van by punching the ignition.
According to the report, the back of the van was still secured with a padlock.
The vehicle owner told police he was missing an air compressor, a laser level, cordless drills and several air guns, none of which were stamped with his or his company’s name.
Police have no suspects.
