Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder announced last week that he would put right-to-work on his agenda.

Following Snyder's announcement, Republicans in the Legislature put bills forward in both houses, prompting protests in Lansing by union groups, including the UAW.

More protests at the Capitol are expected Tuesday as the Legislature again takes up the proposed legislation.

Governor Synder and the Republicans are snakes in the grass and the American people need to stand up to this tyranny. They are stripping everyone of our rights and say, be happy with a job that only pays a few dollars,no benefits and want you to work all hours. It is a very sad day for Michigan, what a snake Synder is, and he don't care what the people want, its his agenda. Shame on him! He has got to go.

Think how much worse this would be if Obama had lost! The Republicans would be whooping and hollering that they had a mandate to carry out their right wing nuttyness on a national as well as the state level. We all had a look at what happened in WI and OH, but many of us thought our Gov was smarter and more balanced. So, here we are with Lansing going nuts trying to ram through not only a right to work (for less) law, but also an astounding amount of hairbrained legislation in a lame duck session, without significant discussion or public input.

Yeah, how much worse can it be with the left wing environmental nutty President?
He runs up 6 trillion in debt, never passed a budget or submitted one. Want to only raise taxes, but never cut spending. Obama and his socialist agenda have ruined this country. He never leads. He is still on the road campaigning, while he should be D.C. figuring out a compromise. The trouble with Socialism, is you finally run out of other people's money. People who voted for Obama deserve the ruin that we are in.

Lame duck session got ya bothered Dr. MacDermid? Remember when Prince Harry Reid put ObamaCare up for a vote on Christmas Eve? Remember when Queen Pelosi did the "in your face" march with the 14 foot gavel? Nah, that's not whooping and hollering...

This is a Sad day for Michiganders. Unions have lost their strength and the corporations now have the ability to treat everyone like property. Put on the shackles and go to work. It won't pay enough to feed you or your children but hey... you will be working... right? :( (Look out food stamps/bridge cards.... you are going to be getting a LOT more working applicants)

Do u mean to tell me that all the non union workers in michigan are not getting paid what they deserve? And only unions can fight for what's right? How about your own job performance and speaking up for yourself with your management, just like everyone else in this world! If the unions r still needed, they will survive! This does not stop unions, it just makes them accountable ! They were needed back in the day, now many laws are in place to protect our rights! Are all business owners horrible people? You'd b surprised at what we could accomplish together vs always having an us vs them mentality!

Not one union supporter has yet to step up and denounce the violence in Lansing today. They wanted their voice to be heard, but sadly their actions ended up being filmed, and are posted all over the internet for all to see. A huge black eye for the labor movement today, when they should have been courting favorable public sentiment...

Bryan, there were about 13,000 people there today and 2 arrest. That is not bad odds. More people get arrested when Ohio State loses...

Unions make up 17% of the workforce in Michigan, a few them may have supported RTW, so Flip flop Dick Snyder is concerned about such a small minority. No thank you. It also amazed me that when I paid a visit to Kurt Heise's office, it was locked up and no one was home. I wonder if the staff was taking up space on the House floor so the public could not get in. Remember if a company choses to move to this state, the Union can not force them to become union unless 50% plus 1 worker votes the Union in by secret ballot, so this crap with companies not wanting to come to Michigan because of the Union is crap.
