Northville's Troop 775 celebrated its 65th anniversary Saturday at Ford Field in downtown Northville.

Hundreds of Troop 755 members from past and present packed Ford Field in Northville on Saturday as the troop marked its 65th anniversary.

The honor earned kudos from Sens. Carl Levin and Debbie Stabenow (D-Michigan), Rep. Thaddeus McCotter (R-Plymouth) and Michigan Governor Rick Snyder, who all submitted letters congratulating the troop on the feat.

Scoutmaster Mike Kowalczyk welcomed past scoutmasters and scouts and emceed the event.

In person, Rep. Kurt Heise (R-Plymouth) offered a speech for the scouts in attendance and noted his enjoyment working with local scouts groups.

What a fantastic day - great to see so many distinguished Troop 755 alumni come back to visit the troop and the city of Northville!
