Plymouth Hockey Falls to CC in Quarterfinal

Plymouth High School's season comes to an end.

Plymouth's quest for the state title ended Wednesday as the varsity hockey team lost to Detroit Catholic Central, 5-1.

Catholic Central now goes on to play East Kentwood in the semifinals on Friday. If they win, they will face the victor of Fridays Brighton vs. Detroit U-D Jesuit game in the finals on Saturday.

CC has won seven state titles since 2000, according to the MHSAA website.

The Wildcats had previously beaten Dearborn Heights Crestwood, 8-0, in the regionals to advance to the quarterfinals.
