Aren't political signs suppose to be down by 10 days after an election anyway?

Maribeth - sometimes the small infractions that prompt a police call make for interesting police blotter (Google the Atherton, CA police blotter in the San Jose Mercury News - notoriously small infractions or lack thereof prompting 911 calls).
Jen - this wasn't a campaign sign; it was a Support Religious Freedom sign, which is a general statement, such as the "Support Our Firefighters" or 2WordStory signs many residents sport in their yards.

Thank goodness this is a news story! I am happy to live in an area where the crime is (mostly) limited to minor theft.
