Plymouth Township Police responded Feb. 6 to Busch’s Fresh Food Market, 15185 Sheldon Road, for a report of shoplifting, according to a police report.

The store manager told police that at about 9:30 a.m., a store employee told him she saw a woman about 50 years old placing two packages of the drug Prilosec in her purse while standing in an aisle, the report indicated.

The store manager told police he stopped the woman as she was trying to leave the store and she admitted taking the items, the report said. The woman turned over the unpaid items, which also included 3 cans of Fancy Feast cat food and one pair of reading glasses, in the manager’s office, the store manager told police.

Police cited the woman on charges of third-degree retail fraud and served her a trespass notice from the store.
