Target to Add Supermarket at Ford Road Store in Canton
Ford Road location among 9 Metro Detroit Target stores to add supermarket.
Canton is adding to its growing list of grocers.
Target on Ford Road will add a supermarket as part of an overhaul of 9 Metro Detroit locations that will see expanded grocery sections, the Detroit Free Press reported.
With the overhaul, Target joins Busch's Fresh Market, slated to open this year, in expanding Canton shoppers' options. The township already sports two Kroger locations, two Walmart stores, a Meijer and a Holiday Market.
According to the Free Press, Target stores in Rochester, Canton, Livonia, Commerce Township, Auburn Hills, Southfield, Clinton Township and Troy also will add an expansive grocery component, while a Target store in Warren already sports the supermarket.
A timeline for the supermarket opening is not yet available.
What do you think of this addition?

I dont think this is a good idea. I sometimes go to the one in Northville and I just dont like it. They have ruined there stores buy putting mini grocery stores in them. I would like the old Target back. I would like to see there sales better especially there dollars sales. And the clothing department sucks now just like Penny's.

Target doesn't have a location in Northville. And if you are referring to the one in Livonia, they are currently remodeling the store to put the grocery store in it.

I think it's great! I probably wouldn't do all my grocery shopping there. But there have been a few times that I was there and needed a few produce items but had to make my usual stop at Meijer.
