Here are the target dates for Plymouth-Canton Community Schools' superintendent search.

The search for a new Plymouth-Canton Community Schools superintendent is in its infancy. Below are key milestone dates for the search process, as prepared by search firm Ray and Associates, Inc. 

Parents and community members: There still is one day to fill out the online survey to develop the profile for job candidates. 

Oct. 22

Consultant planning meeting with the board and individual board member interviews. Oct. 24 Begin preparing information for the district promotional flyer and online application form with the district liaison representative(s).
Notify all associates and other professional contacts of vacancy Oct. 29 Contact constituents and stakeholders for input meetings on Nov. 12-13. Online survey link for input on developing the profile, available on district website from Oct. 29-Nov. 14. Nov. 12-Nov. 13 Meetings w ith constituent and stakeholder group representatives. Nov. 14 8 a.m. deadline for survey/input from constituents, stakeholders and board members, including online survey. Nov. 19 Promotional flyer draft due Board to finalize superintendent profile for the promotional flyer and online application form (7 p.m.) Nov. 20 Print promotional flyer. Forward to consultant. Nov. 21 Email promotional flyer and online application instructions to interested candidates. Jan. 21 Deadline for all application materials. (All applications will be reviewed; Materials received after the closing date may be given full consideration depending upon the number of applications received and other factors.) Feb. 6 Consultant develops and finalizes interview questions and procedures with the board. Semifinalists are presented to the board and consultant assists the board in selecting finalists for the interviews. If desired, consultant will meet with constituents and staff interview group(s) to discuss their roles. (Time TBD.) Week of Feb. 25 Interview semifinalist candidates, first round. Meeting with consultant after last interview. (Time TBD.)  Week of March 4 Interview finalist candidates, second round.  Final meeting with consultant after last interview. (Time TBD.) TBD Optional on-site visit of leading candidate(s) current district by board members. Consultant will discuss contract terms with the finalist. Offer the contract. News release of new superintendent. Board self-assessment survey results presented to board.
