Watch: Time-Lapse Video of Wednesday's Snowstorm
Watch snow accumulate over two hours Wednesday in Plymouth Township.
The first significant snowfall of the season arrived Wednesday, wreaking havoc on local roads and giving residents a reason to dust off their snowblowers.
Plymouth-Canton Patch recorded a time-lapse video of the peak of the snowfall — about two hours between 2:30-4:30 p.m. — showing the roads getting progressively worse.

I like your video. Was that done with a web cam?

Tom - it was done with my iPhone and a time-lapse video app. The tricky part is getting the phone to stand still. I have a tripod mount for it but it's poorly designed and blocks off the charging port. I needed to keep my phone plugged in for this because leaving my phone on for two hours would drain the battery, so the tripod option was out. I had to rig it up on my windowsill on top of some random stacked objects from around my home, and pin my charging cable in place so it wouldn't move the phone.

Haha - I think that's a coincidence. I placed my iPhone in my window with the time-lapse app and set it for a two-hour span and left it there and went back to retrieve it later in the day.

I will have to get that app for my iPhone. I have been wanting to do some time-lapse also.
