While area commuters faced a blanket of snow this morning, warmer temperatures and rain could diminish much of the accumulation.
The National Weather Service says sleet is likely before 4 p.m. today, while temperatures increase to 42 degrees, 10 degrees above freezing. The service predicts a 60 percent chance of precipitation and less than an inch of additional snow throughout the day.
Tonight, the service is forecasting more rain before 7 p.m., then a mix of rain and snow between 7 p.m.-midnight, turning to just snow overnight.
