What Business Would You Like to See Open in Plymouth or Canton in 2013?

What are Plymouth and Canton missing? Let us know by posting a comment below.

This past year, Plymouth and Canton saw plenty of new businesses pop up, including the popular Sardine Room, Panache 447, Jay's Stuffed Burgers and Greek Islands eateries in downtown Plymouth, Penn Station in Plymouth Township and Village Coffeehouse in Canton's Cherry Hill Village.

Fun-seeking patrons also enjoyed the new Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park in Canton, which opened in July.

In 2013, a new Busch's grocery is slated to open in Canton, and plenty of local buildings still sit vacant, awaiting new tenants.

As an employer I would love to see someone open a facility that teaches people ( I have young adults in mind) some of the basics in life studies. Such as basic cooking, cleaning, managing bank accounts and common sense skills. Our schools are over loaded and the parents are overwhelmed.

I follow the Plymouth-Canton Patch. Looks like the Central Middle school is going to close this year. Upgrading the interior and a conversion to a community/activity center. Many uses could be enjoyed like physical fitness gym, swimming pool, conference rooms, banquet hall. It would be a great addtion to downtown Plymouth. Just a thought.

Noodles and Company, Barnes and Noble, High-End Grocery Store (Whole Foods, Nino Salvaggio's, Papa Joes, Plum Market, Joe's Produce or Westborn), Maggianos, Brio, Big Salad, Pei Wei and somewhere for little kids to run around.
