It should be made into an Auto Garage where gear heads can rent bays to work on their own cars.

In any case, they should split the top level into 500-800 sq ft workshops and rent to small businesses/machinists/carpenters, with rental auto bays on the lower level like dale says. We need something like Russell Industrial Center or Pony Ride out here.

There are probably numerous good ideas on how this building might be re-purposed for future use (s).
Until and unless a funding mechanism is in place to finance a viable alternative use, any proposal regarding future plans for this site would seem to be day dreams at best.

I think what dale suggested is the best idea! I know we've been looking for a place to rent bays for a long time, and that would be ideal!

and RP, many things that become reality had to start somewhere as a dream or an idea. So although you are correct in saying that it's probably just a dream for now, that's the best way to get the ball rolling.

That property provides a great place to add an Exit/On-Ramp for M-14. It has been discussed before to provide relief from 6 Mile/ 275 and M-14/Sheldon. It would be a great project that would benefit both the Plymouth, and Northville communities.

For the reason it was created, I think it can become a museum of the history of Ford, including photos of women who worked since 1922. I think it would be a source of income for the community.
