What Should Move Into 43711 Ford Road in Canton?

Visions for Vacancies: What would you like to see in Ford Road retail plaza?

The retail space at 43711 Ford Road in Canton has been utilized during the fall season in past years as a landing spot for a variety of roaming Halloween-themed retailers.

Situated between Pet Supplies Plus and Subway in a retail plaza adjacent to Canton Cinema, the space certainly could use a more permanent tenant.

What would you like to see?

Do you want to see a retail spot, another restaurant or something else? Let us know in the comments!

A possible seafood resturant. A Joe's Crabshack, or red Lobster. Anyone I go to is always jam packed. More people, means more business, and more people to come to the Canton and Plymouth area. Although, Ford rd is packed as it is.... No more coney islands.

Given the size of the property, a much-needed bokstore with a coffee shop, to replace the much-missed Borders, my favorite spot in town.
One small area should house a Hardy's restaurant, the only fast-food burger worth eating!! The closest one is waaaayyy too far from Canton. Bookstore + Hardy's = my idea of wonderful.

Menards???? From my house in Canton I am within 5 miles of 3 Home Depots, 2 Lowes, and at least 2 ACOs, not to mention 2 Meijers, 2 Walmarts, 2 Targets, and IKEA. Are people calling for Menards hurting that much for home goods?

because Menards carries 'made in America' products' - at least have one closer than Toledo or Jackson. You are right Mike - we have plenty of big box stores. Press 1 for English.

How about something like a Trader Joes.

As much as I'd like to see a Trader Joes come to the area, I don't think there's enough parking space at that strip mall to support one, and there isn't really any land on that property for more parking, either.

Agreed, but I don't believe Canton needs another Coney Islands either. They need to start bringing in some additional, unique stores.

We need a fruit market. Nothing high end. Something like a Randazzo's. Good food for a good price.
