The Rock Bar & Grill will close Feb. 1 as part of an agreement with the City of Plymouth after numerous liquor-related violations.
The business now is for sale, as owner Kevin Mantanago seeks a buyer for the building, along with a transfer of its coveted liquor license.
Needless to say, the new occupant of the former Rock Bar & Grill space will be another bar and restaurant. What characteristics would you like to see in a potential buyer? Any food menu items you're craving? Let us know in the comments!

To everyone who likes a good music venue, and even open mic nights, check out the Roc Bar on AnnArbor rd. this Friday they are featuring Motor City Soul, they are really good. The crowd is great there. Try the Plymouth Roc out. They are implementing a new menu that was unveiled New Years Eve. They have Blues and Jazz venues monthly, along with drinks, and dinner. The trouble with a having a true music venue downtown, is usually the establishment is just to small, or takes away to much table space. The place has to be pretty big to commit to a real venue. Space is money...

A piano bar could work. A guy playing a sax. Its a pretty small space for loud, live music.

As far as louder music goes, there's tenants upstairs, I've been told, which means that might not be the best venue for that. Quieter music such as a sax or piano or acoustic singer-songwriter-style might be ideal.
On the topic of sushi, has anyone tried Panache 447's sushi menu? I know they also have some live music.
