Sports bar/pub/brewery. Whole Foods. Outdoor ice rink(winter). Fitness center. Jimmy Johns. Moosejaw. Wine and Pizza joint (think Pizza and Vino in Downtown Plymouth).

Starbucks? Village Coffee House is already there and they serve excellent coffee and the people who work there are super friendly.

Neighborhood restaurant bar & grill that is a bit out of the ordinary. Boutique. Yoga Studio. Art gallery / wine bar. Outdoor BBQ with live music. Art classes for all ages. Make CHV a destination!

outdoor cafe, Trader Joe's, a quality produce market, a real "deli" with real sandwiches---like Mati's in Dearborn, a real bakery/donut shop. Canton is loaded with chain businesses....it needs established quality independent merchants to make it a unique destination.

Keep the chain stores and restaurants away! I'd like to see a fine dinning restaurant and sports bar there. We don't need more chains coming in to Canton killing local businesses.

NO on huge grocery stores and kids play place. Keep the traffic jams and screaming children at bay!

Anything similar to how downtown Plymouth is with a variety of choices would be fabulous! Especially a family sport bar restaurant with outdoor seating would be great.

Community businesses can't survive on the local foot traffic alone. We need easy, affordable parking, a significant mass of businesses to draw in people from outside of the immediate community (5-6 businesses won't be able to make it), there needs to be day-time attractions and businesses to support local eateries, interesting architecture to keep people coming back, layers of entertainment options, easy access to and exit from the community (Denton from Ford to Michigan is almost an ideal thoroughfare).

We live in the village and would love to see a yoga/workout (planet fitness?) facility that the locals can walk to, a unique breakfast/lunch place to visit after shopping at the farmers market, a boutique, gas station, and a nice place to have dinner after a show. I think it would be great if the Village Theatre could have showings of independent films similar to the Michigan Theatre in Ann Arbor to attract visitors from Plymouth/Northville/Dearborn vs. having to drive to AA or Royal Oak. There is so much potential!

Great idea about the indie films at the village theater. I think we need some good strong anchor businesses that are well known to help drive traffic and support the mom and pop stores that would give the village character. A mix of the two would work best, I think. Trader joes or whole foods, are you listening out there??
