Woman Tried Shoplifting Makeup, Food From Kroger, Police Say

Police cite woman on charge of third-degree retail fraud at Kroger in Plymouth Township.

 

Plymouth Township Police responded March 18 to Kroger, 44525 W. Ann Arbor Road, for a report of a suspected shoplifter in custody, according to a police report.

The store’s loss prevention officer told police a woman had concealed several items in her purse while shopping, paid for several other items and left the store with the items still in her purse, the report indicated.

According to the report, police recovered unpaid food and makeup from the woman’s purse.

The loss prevention officer stopped the woman and escorted her to the loss prevention office until police arrived.

Police cited the woman on a third-degree retail fraud charge.
