More About Heritage Park
Heritage Park, situated between the township administration building and the Summit, offers a wealth of activities on 105.7 acres.
In summer, children can frolic in the new splash playground or scramble around on play equipment for all ages in three separate playgrounds. The small lake near the center of the park includes a fishing pier, a boardwalk and is encircled by a wide trail suitable for walking, running or bicycling, with containers and bags provided for those walking dogs. Benches dot the sides of trails and are also placed by the veterans' memorial area.
Eight sports fields provide room for football practice as well as softball, baseball and volleyball.
Five grills and five pavilions provide ample room for family gatherings and other community parties. The gazebo is popular with wedding parties and the amphitheater hosts lives summer concerts; both can be reserved through the township's rental plan, with residents getting first choice.
