DESCRIPTION:"Eating Disorders" will be presented on Tuesday June 26\, 201
 2\, from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm\; by Dr. Carl Christensen\, MD\, PhD\, FACOG
 \, CRMO\, ABAM\; and Lori Perpich\, LLP\, MS Clinical Behavioral Psychol
 ogy\; Cognitive Behavior Therapist and EDEN Program Facilitator. This pr
 ogram will examine the evidence that eating disorders are true biopsycho
 social diseases\, similar to chemical dependency. The program will defin
 e various eating disorders and their consequences\, explore neurobiologi
 cal theories of addiction\, describe physiological consequences of eatin
 g disorders\, discuss screening tools\, and provide information on treat
 ment options and resources for eating disorders. This program is part of
  the FREE\, annual Dawn Farm Education Series.&nbsp\; Our presentations 
 offer helpful information that supports people with alcohol and other dr
 ugs addiction in achieving\, maintaining\, and strengthening their recov
 eries. The series educates family members on issues relating to addictio
 n and its effect on the family\, and offers information that will be use
 ful for family members and friends in relating to people with alcohol an
 d other drug addiction whether they are actively using or in recovery. P
 rofessionals and students will also benefit from this pertinent informat
 ion. All programs are free and open to anyone interested.&nbsp\; Registr
 ation is not required. 1.5 hours of free C.E. approved by MCBAP (Michiga
 n Certification Board for Addiction Professionals) is offered for each w
 orkshop. A certificate to document attendance is provided on request. Th
