Everything You Need to Know About Canton's Village Faire

The Annual Canton Village Faire will return to Preservation Park Aug. 28.

Diners will once again get the chance to sample Plymouth Old Village's finest in the annual upcoming restaurant crawl, sponsored by the Plymouth Community Chamber of Commerce.

Here are five things to know about the event:

1. Date, time, location

The annual Village Faire will be held Sunday, Aug. 28 at Preservation Park, located at 500 N. Ridge Road from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

2. Take a look into the past

Pay tribute to Canton's rich history by strolling the grounds where Canton's heritage is preserved in several historical structures such as: the Bartlett-Travis House - a 1860s farm house; the Hugh Clyde House, one of Wayne Counties oldest homes; the Cady-Boyer Barn, a pre-Civil war Barn and a 1930s silo.

3. Entertainment and Educational Activities

Watch living history demonstrations, provided by the Sisters of Union, who will be onsite cooking, candle-making and sewing in period garb. Village Faire-goers
can also enjoy music, face painting and a petting farm.

4.  Shop the Famers Market

Enjoy the best in fresh produce and handmade crafts during the Canton
Farmers Market, which will be also be held at Preservation Park on the
same day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

5. It's free!

Residents of all ages are welcome to this free event, brought to you by Canton Leisure Services in partnership with the Canton Historical Society. No registration is required. To learn more about Village Faire, visit cantonfun.org.
