Axis Glee Club to Open Canton Tree Lighting Ceremony

On Wednesday, 's Glee Club will kick off the at 6 p.m. with a set of Christmas carols. The annual tree lighting celebration will take place at , from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Directions and more information about the event can be found at: http://www.cantonfun.org.

The Axis Glee Club consists of 16 teenage students singing in vocal ensemble. For its performance Wednesday, the group has chosen to sing: Deck the Halls, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, and Winter Wonderland. Following the theatricals on the main stage, the students will be touring The Summit performing other songs for patrons inside.

The ceremony will be the Glee Club's first public performance since forming just over 6 weeks ago. The students are extremely excited to be able to showcase the hard work they've been putting in to stage a successful performance. Our staff has is immensely proud of our students, and we are glad Canton Leisure Services has chosen the Glee Club to commence their annual Christmas event. We're looking forward to joining the 5,000-plus Canton residents at the tree lighting on Wednesday.
