City of Plymouth Commission considers railroad crossing Quiet Zones

The City Commission plans to potentially include Quiet Zones as one of their 2014 City Commission Goals.  Over 150 residents and business owners attended a 12/2/13 Plymouth City Commission meeting regarding "Quiet Zones".   A staff member of County Commissioner Shannon Price was in attendance and expressed support for this project.  An auditor providing an annual review of the City's financial statements indicated that property values had been decreasing in the City of Plymouth.  Quiet Zones are estimated to increase property values by $36 million.  Details (including address-specific estimates) are at https://sites.google.com/site/plymouthquietzone/ .  If you have not already, then sign the petition at http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/plymouthquietzones .
