Rumpelstiltskin Weaves a Delightful Tale

Spotlight on Youth Brings Sassy Musical to the Village Theater at Cherry Hill!

That wily rascal Rumpelstiltskin is causing trouble at the Village Theater at Cherry Hill in Canton. Quick, get to the theater and enjoy the hijinks and shenanigans deep in the forest. A queen, gold, magic, a young girl and a guessing game keeps the audience wondering, “What happens next?” This musical is a snappy re-telling of the story, originally penned in 1812 by the Brothers Grimm.

Don’t miss this sassy and humorous musical version of the classic tale adapted by Rachel Nelson, with music and lyrics by Armando Perez. This is a Main Stage production at the beautiful, state-of-the-art and handicap accessible Village Theater at Cherry Hill. One week-end only! Thursday, July 24 through Sunday, July 27, 2014.

Director and Novi resident Barbara Bloom says:

“The story centers around a mischievous fellow named Rumpelstiltskin. He tricks Tilda, a young lass into weaving straw into gold in exchange for her hand in marriage. Tilda must learn the impish lad’s real name to set her free from this unsavory arrangement. Kids of all ages will enjoy an afternoon or evening at the theater with this delightful production featuring colorful characters and songs the whole family with tap their toes to such as ‘What’s in a Name,’ ‘An Offer You Can’t Refuse,’ and ‘Twinkling Fairies.’”
