Yazaki Announces Executive Staff Moves

Effective August 1, 2013, Colleen Haley, Executive Vice President of the US OEM Business Unit will move into a dual leadership position as Senior Executive Vice President of Yazaki Mercosur in Brazil and Senior Executive Vice President of the US OEM Business Unit.

In her Mercosur role Colleen will lead the South American operations. She will ensure worldwide strategy and engineering alignment, as well as support the accelerated integration of Yazaki’s operations in North, Central, and South America into an Americas organization. Her US OEM Business Unit assignment will focus on our worldwide customers to enhance current relationships and increase global alignment.

Olga Alavanou, Executive Vice President of Supply Chain Management, will succeed Colleen as Executive Vice President of the US OEM Business Unit.

Olga brings 25 years of automotive experience, with15 years at Yazaki. Her previous assignments include roles in customer teams, Engineering, Sales, Program Management, and Purchasing. For the last three years she has been a part of Yazaki’s Worldwide Purchasing team.

 “Colleen’s leadership and strategic approach helped align our US OEM teams around the world to meet the global needs of those customers. Using those same skills, she will now focus on improving and expanding our business in South America, and at the same time achieve a closer integration of our Americas Operations,” said President & CEO Nigel Thompson. “Olga’s experience and strong leadership skills will make this an easy transition for the US OEM team. She will continue to strengthen our regional and global service for our customers.”
