Canton Residents with Monday Trash Pick-Up Will Not See Collections This Week

Canton Waste Recycling will still pick-up for residents with Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday collections, but is running one-to-two days behind schedule.

Canton residents whose trash is picked up on Mondays will not have their trash collected this week, according to a message from Canton Waste Recycling on the township's website.

Collection for residents with Monday pick-up has been suspended until Jan. 13 due to the landfill closure this past Monday, the large accumulation of snow, icy roads, lack of plowing and cars parked on subdivision streets.

Residents with a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday pick-up will have their refuse and recycling collected this week, however CWR is running one-to-two days behind schedule.

Collection of Christmas trees for all routes has also been suspended until next week. Please place your tree at the curb by 6:30 a.m. on your regular trash day with all tree stands, lights, ornaments and any other decorative material removed. After Jan. 16, trees will no longer be accepted at the curb.

In an effort to help collections run smoothly next week, Canton is asking residents not to park on subdivision streets so snow plows and CWR collection trucks can get through.
