Good Morning, Canton! ~ Cyril Miranda

Cyril Miranda's outdoor Christmas decor offers a simple but classic sign of light during winter's darkness.

Cobblestone Ridge resident Cyril Miranda decided to take advantage of Sunday's relatively mild temperatures to string lights around the shrubbery outside his home. He tossed on a warm jacket over his work clothes and began to work. Shortly after that, Canton Patch happened upon the scene and asked for an interview and a good-morning greeting.

Christmas is filled with "a spirit of love and affection," he said. "All the best of the year, we find in Christmas and the love of Christ."

While Miranda said he enjoys driving around looking at others' Christmas lights, he demurred about having a favorite. "Every lighting .... is good," he said.
