Good Morning, Canton! ~ Laurie Golden

Canton Public Library's Laurie Golden offers a reminder to help support Detroit Area Diaper Bank's quest for 200,000 donations this year.

Canton mom and baseball fan Laurie Golden — she caught one of the baseball's flying around Comerica Park earlier this year — cheerfully volunteered for today's Good Morning, Canton! segment to promote what is becoming a key kickoff event to the givining season: Canton Public Library's annual Stuff the Truck effort for Detroit Area Diaper Bank.

The drive hasn't even begun and the donations have started. People are leaving packages just inside the front door, near the information desk. But the truck, donated by the Canton-based , has room for lots more. Look for the Fat Chef truck on Wednesday and Thursday in the library's parking lot. There's a very good chance you'll see library director Eva Davis or diaper bank founder Marybeth Levine keeping count.
