Take your teen prom dress hunting or hang out with the Easter Bunny at the Henry Ford.

Trying to break out of the usual weekend routine? Need some ideas for during the week, too?  Say no more. We've complied a list of events that will keep everyone in the family busy.

Look for the kids’ planner each and every Wednesday for family-friendly happenings around town.

FAMILY BEST BETS OF THE WEEK

Where/When: Plymouth High School on Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Why Go: Get outfitted for the prom with a selection of donated, new and used prom dresses, shoes, purses and jewelry. Proceeds from the sale support programs in the school's Life Management Department.

Pricing: No dress will be priced over $20!

Where/When: Baby Bliss in Northville on Saturday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Why Go: Come dressed like a fairy and join other fairy folk at this kids' event complete with crafts, games and face painting. Be sure to sign up for one of three time slots by calling 248-344-0001.

Pricing: $10 per child includes gift bag

Where/When: Babies 'R' Us in Northville on Saturday from 12-3 p.m.

Why Go: This event is for moms-to-be, family and friends. Get baby registry ideas plus tips on how to throw a fabulous baby shower. There will be plenty of coupons and giveaways, too.

Pricing: Free 

Where/When: Canton Public Library on Tuesday from 10-10:45 a.m.

Why Go: If you babysit the grandkids often, come meet other grandparents who do the same. Plus, you'll be able to enjoy some fun activities with the kids without having to plan them yourself.

Pricing: Free

MACY'S 2ND MONDAY AT THE HENRY FORD

Where/When: The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn on Monday from 10 a.m.-noon.

Why Go: The Easter Bunny will be there! Take pictures with everyone's favorite springtime celeb and enjoy musical entertainment, special giveaways and other kids' activities as part of "Easter Celebration" at the museum.

Pricing: Download the Macy's 2nd Mondays coupons from the link above for 25% off regular adult admission or 10% off an annual pass; regular ticket prices are adults ($15); seniors ($14); kids 5-12 ($11); kids 4 and under and members (free); parking is $5, too.
