How Do Kids Feel About Peanut Butter And Jelly Sandwiches?

Music in the Park Children's Music Concerts draw large crowds to downtown Plymouth every Wednesday.

More than 100 people packed Kellogg Park in downtown Plymouth for the sixth week of Music in the Park, a children's concert series run by the Plymouth Community Arts Council.

Every Wednesday, a different performer entertains children from the surrounding area. This week, the music group Gemini dazzled the audience and had kids hopping to various tunes.

Gemini writes and plays acoustic music for kids and families. The Ann Arbor based musicians even wrote a song about their favorite local deli, Zingerman's Delicatessen.

The lyrics went, "Let's go get a sandwich at the deli, because I'm sick and tired of peanut butter and jelly."

Plymouth Downtown Development Authority Director Anthony Bruscato said the series is great for downtown.

"Plymouth is a family-friendly community," he said. "There's a lot of families with a lot of kids that simply show up each week. Anytime we can get people downtown and showcase Kellogg Park and our businesses, certainly that's an advantage for us."

Music in the Park is now in its 29th season. Concerts begin at noon on Wednesdays. Next week, The Kerfluffles will perform. Click here for the full 2013 lineup.
