Packard Ride With Margaret Dunning Among Museum Benefit Auction Items

Ride with 102-year-old Plymouth icon in classic car among items up for bids to benefit Plymouth Historical Museum.

Bidders can have a chance to ride in a luxurious 1930 Packard driven by 102-year-old Plymouth icon Margaret Dunning at the Plymouth Historical Museum's A Night FOR the Museum fundraiser. 

The event takes place Feb. 16 at the Fox Hills Golden Fox.

In addition to the ride with Margaret Dunning, local businesses also donated more than 80 items for the live auction and raffle, including tickets to a Detroit Red Wings game, one-year World Deluxe membership to Ancestry.com, golf at Fox Hills and tickets to the Henry Ford in Dearborn.

In addition to the live auction and raffles, diners will be entertained during dinner with dulcimer music. The live auction is emceed by Plymouth stalwart Fred Hill, famous for the Fred Hill Briefcase Drill Team.

Tickets are $75 per person and includes appetizers, a plated gourmet dinner and dessert. A cash bar also will be available.

Tickets can be purchased at the museum during open hours or online using PayPal. Tickets should be purchased by Feb. 8. Doors open at 6 p.m. at the Golden Fox at Fox Hills Golf and Banquet Center, 8768 N. Territorial Road, west of Plymouth.
