And Now, a Few Words From Santa

The Jolly Old Elf shares what he's hearing from children this year, how he gets around town and what kind of pizza he likes best.

As busy as everyone may feel this week, few can have a to-do list as long as Santa's.

Already this month, Santa Claus has visited Canton many times – traveling by fire engine and helicopter, eating pizza, visiting bowlers at and even appearing in six performances of the .

He's also been very busy listening to children's Christmas wishes.

"It's interesting. They've been asking for a lot of electronics and not much of the traditional toys," he said during a break between Sunday's shows at . "I always tell them I'll do the best that I can, but there will be surprises. And I ask them to enjoy what they have."

With all the commitments, Santa has been traveling on almost everything except his sleigh.

"Sometimes I ride in cars, sometimes a miniature pony … all different ways. Sometimes when I can't get on any of those, I come on a snowflake. It's a magic snowflake, of course," he said, shrugging. "I just come with the north wind."

With his recent helicopter trip to – and a visit to the on Sunday for another pizza party – Santa shared what his favorite type would be:

"It would be an unusual pizza," he said, describing a cookie dough pizza crust topped with chocolate chips and crushed candy canes. Maybe a lot of cheese might be OK, but it would have to be a real light cheese, of course," he said. "But lots of sugar on it. I like lots of sweet stuff."
