Last Chance: Catch 'Pride of the Yankees' at Penn Theatre

Historic baseball movie has one-time screening as part of nonprofit movie house's month of baseball classics.

Opening Day is this week and if you're jonesing for some baseball action away from Comerica Park, the kicks off its series of Thursday.

Pride of the Yankees, a 1942 biopic of New York Yankees legend Lou Gehrig starring Gary Cooper, plays 7 p.m. Thursday at the Penn, 760 Penniman Ave. in downtown Plymouth, for a one-time engagement. All seats are $3.

In subsequenet weeks, the Penn will screen Field of Dreams, Bull Durham and For Love of the Game.
