Music in the Air in Downtown Plymouth Starts Friday at Kellogg Park

Bugs Beddow Band kicks off first week of popular summer outdoor concert series.

Thousands are expected to flock Friday to in downtown Plymouth as Music in the Air kicks off its 2012 season with the Bugs Beddow Band.

The concerts, held each Friday in the park through the end of August, draw crowds of all ages to Kellogg Park to enjoy family-friendly tunes.

The Bugs Beddow Band, described as Earth, Wind and Fire meets Motown, plays 7 p.m. Friday. The concert is open to the public.

The rest of the season returns local favorites such as Steve King and the Dittilies, Mass Transit, Lady Sunshine and the X Band, The Crutches and the Shawn Riley Band.

Crowds also will be able to see the Sound Alternative, whose set was cut last year , when the band plays July 20.
