Viewfinder: Plymouth Community Band Entertains Kellogg Park Crowd

Band performs weekly free concert downtown.

The Plymouth Community Band braved overcast skies Thursday, performing  in front of about 200 people at .

Under the direction of Carl Batatishill, the band played a variety of tunes, including "The Star-Spangled Banner," "George Washington Bicentennial March" and selections from Disney/Pixar films, entitled "Pixar Movie Magic."

The band also premiered its own "Fanfare and Melody," commissioned by the band and composed by Jake Whitecar.

John Gonthier, Bob Bush and Dina Saccone contributed as guest conductors. 

The band performs weekly at Kellogg Park on each Thursday through July 28.
