Plymouth Township Board of Trustees Abruptly Cancels Meeting Right Before General Election

Afraid of uncomfortable questions from residents before the election, Supervisor Richard Reaume, in an act of cowardice, cancels the final meeting of the Board of Trustees before the general election.

The Plymouth Township Board of Trustees abruptly canceled its regularly scheduled meeting Tuesday. This meeting was canceled at the last minute, with no warning, which seems to be par for the course for the Plymouth Township Board of Trustees.

The last time a meeting was canceled at the last minute was a "Very Special Meeting" of the Plymouth Township Board of Trustees called by Plymouth Township Supervisor, Richard Reaume. "The Exalted One" had hastily called this meeting in order to pass a policy to keep the League of Women Voters from having their candidate forum at the Plymouth Township Hall.

What we now know of course, is that this Special Meeting was never gonna happen. It was just a bluff to try to get the LWV to back down and cancel their Candidate Forum.

You see, there are members of the Plymouth Township Board of Trustees who want to silence the residents of this community. They want to stop the flow of information about their record in office. They will stop at nothing to silence their critics.

The people on this board do not care how it looks to the public, as they are gambling that most folks will not notice their dirty political tricks. They are gambling that most people pay more attention to national politics, and not enough to the local politics. They are gambling that name recognition and 13 million signs planted throughout the township will do the trick, and get them reelected.

The main thing these incumbents are afraid of, are people with differing opinions, and the guts to voice them. They are scared to death of people with uncomfortable questions about what is going on in Plymouth Township, especially at election time.

That is why they will stop at nothing to silence their critics at election time. They will stop at nothing to protect their power, and their salaries. What is disgusting is that they habitually throw the very people that pay their salaries under the bus, and most residents of Plymouth Township are completely unaware of this behavior.

Anyway, this was to be the last meeting before the November general election where five of the seven members are up for reelection. This was to be the last time any member of the public could voice a concern before the Board of Trustees before voting.

This was to be the last time before the election that residents could ask about Plymouth Township's plan to get rid of all the firefighters, and train the police to not only fight crime, but also, to put out fires, and act as the community EMTs.

This was the last time before folks get to vote, that the incumbents on the Plymouth Township Board of Trustees would have to face the residents without treating them like dirt. They would actually be forced to treat their constituents with a little bit of respect.

The Plymouth Township Board of Trustees do not have a very good track record as far as respecting their constituents at Board of Trustee meetings. They tend to make fun of folks who have the guts to step up to the podium with a differing opinion. To be honest, they are very rude to folks who are not lapdogs for this board. The worst violators are Treasurer Ronald Edwards, Supervisor Richard Reaume, and Trustee Robert J Doroshewitz.

These three stop at nothing to literally eviscerate those who dare to disagree with them. I was, and still am shocked at what I see from these so called professionals, and it disgusts me every time I see them in action.

With all this in mind, I was not surprised to see that "The Exalted One" Richard Reaume had canceled the meeting. Now they do not have to answer uncomfortable questions.

Now they don't have to actually treat folks with respect or risk losing votes.

Now all they have to do is sit back and hope most of the folks in Plymouth Township do not bother to look into these incumbent's records, because if township residents actually knew these people, they most certainly wouldn't vote for them.

So they canceled the meeting to stifle our voices. They are not done though. Not by a long shot. They will sit at their computers behind anonymous names and post comments at any column or blog that sheds a negative light upon them. They do it all the time, and I'll give them credit, they do a good job of controlling the message, and manipulating dialogue. They will comment on this blog, they do it all the time, and I will start pointing them out when they do.

Three of the Plymouth Township's incumbents have also gone into seclusion as far as returning messages or phone calls.

One of them, Bobby Doroshewitz actually hangs up the phone anytime I call him with a question. He just hangs up. He cashes the check he gets from us residents, but he hangs up when we call with questions.

Supervisor Richard Reaume chooses not to respond to messages either, and if you confront him with that fact at a Plymouth Township Board of Trustees meeting, he has a hissy fit, and starts berating you about being too blunt. The man literally had a hissy fit.

Mr. Reaume, please answer questions that your constituents have about you and your record.

Maybe Mr. Reaume is worried about the whole PSO thing. Or maybe he is worried about his distortion of his military record. Or maybe, just maybe he is worried about a document that has come to light. Mr. Reaume it seems, may not be all that he claims to be. We know he claims to be a Vietnam Veteran, when he is not, so nothing surprises me about this person.

I have learned that Mr. Reaume also claims to be a Republican, when in fact that he may not be. I know that at one time, he signed a voter registration card and registered as a Democrat. I know that he did this when Bill Clinton was running for President. So to me, this makes him a RINO at best, and a bold-faced liar at worst.

It seems that he figured he could claim the Republican Party to get elected to a six-figure salary, but never thought his voter registration with an "X" in the Democrat box would ever see the light of day.

Well, Mr. Reaume, I am now looking at your voter registration, and that black magic marker has faded. I saw this thing, and then magnified it to 150% and then 200%, and suddenly I could see an X right in the Democrat box! Voila! Mr. Reaume has been exposed. Again.

Well Mr. Exalted One we now see another side of you. I have been saying for the better part of a year now, that Mr. Reaume is hiding something. I have been saying, AND proving, for the better part of a year now, that Mr. Reaume is a lying liar.

Mr. Reaume misrepresents himself in many ways, some of them are really disgusting too. Mr. Reaume obfuscates when you ask him direct questions. Mr. Reaume flat out lies when he thinks he can get away with it, and when you confront him with said lies, he gets his panties in a bundle, and throws a hissy fit.

I know one thing about the Supervisor race. There are two candidates, and one of them registered as a Democrat, and one of them, Richard Sharland, is a proud conservative Republican.

Richard Sharland is a true conservative Republican who I believe has lived in Plymouth Township his whole life, and has no secrets to cover up, and who will answer any question, any time, from any person.

One guy is a Republican, and one guy "says" he is a Republican. Think I'll vote for Mr. Sharland.

Enough about King Richard and his skeletons.

Another person who will not answer a call or message from me is Plymouth Township Treasurer Ronald Edwards.

I left a message with Ron's secretary one day asking for a return call from our esteemed treasurer. Of course, I never got a call back. So I decided to call Ron once a day for a week.

Every time I called his message said he was either on the phone or out of the office. Finally after one week of this, I went up to the Township Hall to see if he was actually on the phone or out of the office. I found the man over by the Clerk's office, and asked him if he had received any of my messages.

Mr. Edwards, "The Teflon Ron" of Plymouth Township, told me in no uncertain terms that he was not going to be answering any questions for me. I reminded him that I am a Township resident, and that I deserved to have questions answered, and the man accused me of stalking him.

Yes, Mr. Ronald Edwards accused me of stalking him. He made this false accusation apparently because I called and left a message at his office once a day for a week.

I also called his home once but never got an answer and never left a message. His home phone is publicly listed, and he actually mailed me his address and phone number in his campaign ads, so I didn't feel bad about calling his house once.

Well when I informed Mr. Edwads that I had every right to call him, he doubled down on the whole stalking thing.

He doubled down and accused me of "following him around town." So now, I am a follow-around-town stalker. LOL

Mr. Edwards falsely accused me of following him around town stalking him. Once I got done being PO'd about his moronic accusation, I actually thought it was pretty funny. The dude sure is paranoid.

So I started wondering why would he accuse me of stalking him? Where did he come up with that? I mean he has plenty of reasons to hate me, but stalking?

It never happened, so what made that pop into his head? How does someone randomly come up with a stalking claim? Following people all around town?

It then occurred to me that maybe the term stalking is a familiar thing to him. Driving around town all the time.

I then remembered back to the last Township Trustees meeting. I remembered that out of the blue he was able to tell a candidate exactly where and exactly how many signs he had out.

It didn't mean much to me at the time, but now that he talks about stalking around town, it all adds up. Ron came to the stalking claim quite naturally. It came to him because he does it all the time.

Apparently he stalks campaign signs instead of people, which makes the whole thing only a little less creepy.

So putting the whole creepy stalking thing aside, why is "The Teflon Ron" afraid to answer some questions? He didn't know what I was going to ask about, but he was absolutely sure he didn't want to answer any question I might have. That sounds like a guilty man.

Well Ron, I was going to ask you if it is true that your brother in law is a big muckety muck with the City of Farmington Public Safety Department.

I was then going to ask if Plymouth Township was going to hire him at a raise in pay to implement the PSO system here in Plymouth Township. I don't know if this may happen, but I do know that Plymouth Township officials have been collaborating with Farmington Public Safety Officials regarding this matter. I know that for a fact, so the question comes naturally.

I was going to ask Big Ron if he had any further news about the FBI investigation concerning him. That by the way, is no longer a rumor. If Plymouth Township Treasurer Ronald Edwards tells you that there is no FBI investigation about his activities, he is lying to you.

I had other various questions for Teflon Ron, some concerning The Hatch Act, some concerning his recent comments at Patch, and one concerning him running for office under another party other then Republican. I have heard rumors that Big Ron may have other political ties besides the Republican Party.

Basically, I wanted to give him the opportunity to answer these questions officially, instead of anonymously by commenting at Patch.

Long story short: King Richard is afraid of his record in office as well as in life. Big Ron is afraid of, well, apparently me, and Bumbling Bobby Doroshewitz is afraid of everything, and everybody, especially if they call on the phone.

That leaves only two other incumbents. Kay Arnold, and Michael Kelly. Kay is probably the smartest of the Trustees politically, as she makes a small comment here and there, and they are all designed to play to her base voters.

She makes no waves that will anger the troika, and does not threaten their hold on absolute power, so she is allowed to maintain her seat. I couldn't tell you either way if she is actually a Republican like she claims, but she goes along to get along, and in doing that, she is allowed to keep her seat.

Michael Kelly is, and always has been an enigma to me. I could have an opinion of him if he ever took a stand on anything, or actually opened his mouth at a meeting. I am pretty darn sure that at all of the Plymouth Township Board of Trustee meetings I have attended, Mr. Kelly has never spoken a word. Not one single word other than a yay or nay on a vote.

Mr. Kelly, as near as I can tell, has no opinion on anything. I really had to look hard to find any kind of information about Mr. Michael Kelly that I could use to make a decision about whether or not I could cast a vote for the man.

At first glance, all I see is a man taking up space. I go to the board meetings, and I see a bored person. I see a man who is disinterested in what is going on around him, and basically just watching the clock, waiting for the time to head home. He goes along to get along, and collects our money for roughly 3 hours work a month depending on how many meetings are scheduled.

At least Bobby Doroshewitz provides a little comic relief once in awhile. Kelly is just a stiff. The proverbial empty chair that my good friend Mr. Eastwood made so famous.

There is one interesting thing I was able to find out about Trustee Michael Kelly. It seems that he voted no on the purchase of the DeHoCo property that is now hung up in the City of Detroit because of the bungling of the Treasurer's Office.

Well, Mr. Kelly voted no when the purchase price was something in the neighborhood of $230,000. Then something came up, and the purchase price skyrocketed to over $600,000. Suddenly, the man voted yes.

Kelly voted no at $200,000 but voted yes at over $600,000. Really? I am having a hard time understanding that one, but it's in the official minutes at the township web site.

Well I wasn't gonna vote for Mr. Kelly anyway, because I felt he was just taking up valuable space on the Bpoard of Trustees, now I'm definitely not going to vote for him, because he voted no at $200,000 but yes at $600,000. That is just asinine.

To be honest, if you voted yes at any price to purchase the DeHoCo property from the City of Detroit, you do not get my vote and you never will. Smart people do not do business with the City of Detroit because something bad usually always happens.

And something bad did happen.

And our elected officials don't want to talk about these things.

So they canceled the meeting.

Stifled our voices.

Until November 6th...
