Plymouth VFW Post 6695 Hosting Annual St. Patrick's Day Event

The good folks at the Plymouth VFW Post 6695 are puttin on their finest in green apparel, and hosting their annual St. Patrick's Day Corned Beef & Cabbage dinner.

They have an actual descendent of St. Patrick himself, cooking the corned beef this year. Well, at least that's what he'll say he is, and he's sticking with that story I am told. All kidding aside, whoever is doing the cooking, our Vets usually end up serving roughly 300 pounds of corned beef at this event, and that alone speaks to the tastiness of the food.

There will be corned beef and cabbage dinners, with potatoes, carrots, and bread for $7.50, as well as corned beef sandwiches for $5.50. I suggest some horseradish sauce with either. Personally, I expect that I will start with a dinner, and most likely have a sandwich later as a snack.

Along with the dinner, there will be no shortage of beverages for sale, as corned beef can make a person work up a powerful thirst.

This event starts at noon, and will go until every last bit of corned beef has been served. If you are looking for some great food, with some great company, this is the place to be on St. Patrick's Day. If you have a good singing voice, and would like to lead folks in a few good Irish songs, all the better...
